Dear Hampton Academy Families,

On behalf of the staff, we would like to thank parents and students for a safe and successful school opening.  Please join us, virtually, for an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers on Wednesday, October 14. Hampton Academy teams will host an information night for parents.  Teachers will be sharing academic expectations, curriculum details, details including links and the times will be forthcoming from the teams.

This month, students will be participating in shortened state assessments in Math and Language Arts.  These interim assessments consist of thirty questions and take about one class period to complete.

We want to thank you for remembering to complete your health screen each day.  We know this requires you to complete an additional task during your busy morning routines, however, this is the only way we can ensure everyone’s health and safety.  As a friendly reminder, parents will be contacted should their child arrive on campus that has not submitted an assessment.  The following will occur consecutively after each incident:

  1. Email and or letter of notification to parents/guardians.
  2. Call from school personnel to parents/guardians.
  3. Student will be dismissed from school.

The safety of everyone is contingent upon all of us following these procedures. Please complete the daily health screening assessment by 7 AM. for middle school students.

We have had some great weather since the start of school.  As the season changes, we will continue to try to get outside as much as possible for outdoor classes, lunch, snack breaks and mask breaks.  Please encourage your child to bring an extra sweatshirt, hat, umbrella for those days when temperature and weather are more like fall than summer.

The PowerSchool parent portal will be available soon to view your child’s grades, assignments and announcements. We appreciate your patience as there have been some technical glitches to overcome this year.  If you have not yet created an account or are having difficulty logging into your account, please email Cheryl Solari, for assistance. As always, please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns regarding academic progress.

In observance of Columbus Day, there is no school Monday, October 12.

Hampton Academy's mission is to provide an environment where all students are encouraged to reach their academic, artistic, social and physical potential in order to become productive citizens in an ever-changing world.  This mission is best achieved when staff, families, and community share the responsibility of educating our adolescents during their middle school years.
