 Dear Hampton Academy Families,

As we enter our final weeks of school, it is important to remember our three Hampton Academy Expectations.  We continue to remind our students of the “Academy Way”, Act Responsibly, Manage Yourself, and Respect Yourself & Others.  Teachers will continue to assign homework and regular academic instruction will continue through the end of the year.  The last day of school is Friday, June 14.  Dismissal is at 11:30 AM.  Report cards will be available on line at the close of the school day.

We have a number of special events and activities planned for the last two weeks.  A schedule is listed below for your information and planning.  Wednesday, June 5, is an early release day, dismissal for students is at 11:30 AM.  Mrs. Saunders is hosting an end of the year book fair. This is a perfect opportunity to get a great book to start “Shark Week”. The fair runs from June 6-13. A variety of spirit days are planned, including a field day for grades 6 & 7 and a literacy day for 8th grade students, please see the calendar below for details. Tuesday evening, June 11, please join our talented band and chorus students for our Spring Concert at Winnacunnet High School Auditorium.  The band concert begins at 6 PM followed by the choral concert at 7:15 PM. For our grade eight parents, the Final Assembly will take place in the gymnasium of Hampton Academy, on Thursday evening, June 13, at 6:00 pm.  There is seating for 5 family members.

A reminder from our nurse, Mrs. Brand, to the 2019-2020 incoming 7th graders; The State of New Hampshire mandates that "1 dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis) is required for entry into 7th grade."  Documentation must be provided to the school before your child is allowed to attend.  If you have any questions, please call or email her at kbrand@sau90.org.  Also, Mrs. Brand wishes to remind parents of students who take medication to stop by before the close of the year and pick up all unused medications.

Mrs. Borg, our Food Service Director, would like to remind families to bring their child’s account balance up to date before the school year ends.  Please call her if you have any questions at 926-9826.

Our deepest appreciation goes out to all of our wonderful PTA volunteers at Hampton Academy.  We also thank all of the parents who have generously donated their time and energy to the many events here throughout the year. The PTA donations are used to help pay for field trips, guest speakers, performers and enrichment activities.  We would also like to thank Brandy Scott for serving as president, and the PTA executive board for their leadership, energy and dedication.  If you would like to get involved in the Hampton PTA, you may contact them through the Hampton Academy office.

Students return to school Tuesday, August 27.  There will be a Welcome Back/Meet Your Team event Monday, August 26, from 3:00-4:30 PM, for all grade levels.  Please look for an email message in early August with more information.

On behalf of the Hampton Academy staff, we hope you and your family enjoy a safe and restful summer.

 Sincerely,

David O’Connor                        Anna DeVylder

Hampton Academy's mission is to provide an environment where all students are encouraged to reach their academic, artistic, social and physical potential in order to become productive citizens in an ever-changing world.  This mission is best achieved when staff, families, and community share the responsibility of educating our adolescents during their middle school years.
