Dear Hampton Academy Families,

I would like to begin by thanking families and staff for supporting our students during the math state assessment.  Students will continue the AIR state assessment on May 1st & 2nd, as well as on Thursday, May 11th.  Students should eat a good breakfast, arrive at school on time, and be well rested.  Your support and your child’s attendance will positively impact this benchmark testing.  This testing is a benefit to students in that it will give them a greater understanding of their academic strenghths and weaknesses.  Additionally, it provides our school district and teachers with important feedback about our ability to provide a curriculum that leads to student success.  Results will be mailed home as soon as they are available.

There is still time to order a Hampton Academy yearbook.  The deadline to order has been extended to Friday, June 1st.  To order online, go to  and enter in our school passcode: 1014123484803284.  A limited amount of yearbooks will be available after June 1st on a first come basis at a cost of $20.   If you have any questions please call or email Mr. Doherty at Hampton Academy.

Our last seven weeks at Hampton Academy will be exciting ones with many different learning opportunities for students.  Classes will be participating in field trips, specialty days and enrichment activities.  As we continue to have high expectations of the students representing Hampton Academy, please review academic, behavior expectations and the dress code with your child.

As this is a busy time of year, please take time to check your child’s team page and view our School Messenger email messages.  For your planning, The WHS/Grade 8 Mixer is scheduled for Friday, May 4, at Winnacunnet High School, 7-9:30 PM.  There is an Early Release Day on Wednesday, May 9.  Our Memorial Day assembly is Friday, May 25, at 8:45 AM.  All are welcome.  School’s are closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.  The 8th grade final assembly is Thursday, June 14, 6:30 PM, at Hampton Academy.  Seating under the tent is limited, but there is plenty of lawn seating available.  The last day of school for students is Friday, June 15.  Dismissal is at 11:30 AM.  Upcoming events are listed below.

Hampton Academy's mission is to provide an environment where all students are encouraged to reach their academic, artistic, social and physical potential in order to become productive citizens in an ever-changing world.  This mission is best achieved when staff, families, and community share the responsibility of educating our adolescents during their middle school years.
