Pat's Peak Ski Program Meeting
Thursday, Oct. 17, 6:30pm
H.A. Cafeteria

September 27, 2019

Dear Hampton Academy Families,

On behalf of the staff, we would like to thank parents and students for a safe and successful school opening. Thank you to all parents who attended our Welcome Back/Open House, grade 6 Environmental Camp meeting and the Quebec meeting. Also, thank you to all the parents who are supporting our fall athletic teams.

Please join us on Saturday, October 5, at 10 AM for ribbon cutting, a brief dedication ceremony and tour of the newly renovated building and addition.  All are welcome!

The PowerSchool parent portal is available for you to keep up with your child’s grades, assignments and announcements.  If you have not yet created an account or are having difficulty logging into your account, please call us at 926-2000 for assistance. Mid-trimester progress reports will be available the week of October 15. The first trimester marking period ends November 26. Report cards will be available on December 9. Parent/Student conferences are scheduled for November 12, 4-7 PM and November 19, 3-6 PM. Teams will send home a form to sign up for conferences via email.  Students in all grade levels should have well-established homework habits by this point. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns regarding academic progress.

In observance of Columbus Day, there is no school Monday, October 14. A calendar with all release dates and holidays can be found on the SAU 90 website.

On Thursday evening, October 17, at 6:30 pm, a representative from Pat’s Peak will be at Hampton Academy to answer questions and assist with online enrollment in our popular ski club program.  The program begins on Friday, January 3, and runs for five consecutive Fridays, weather permitting. The ski program relies on the support of parent chaperones; skiers and non-skiers.
The sixth grade will travel to Camp Merrowvista in Center Tuftonboro, NH, for environmental camp the week of October 28-November 1.  Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated the week of November 4. Our Guidance Counselors and staff will offer a number of activities to encourage students to take the pledge to resist drugs and violence. Below is a list of October events at Hampton Academy. We will continue to use the Messenger program to communicate with families.

Sincerely,

David O’Connor, Principal
