Dear Hampton Academy Families,
Welcome back! Beginning Wednesday, March 3, Cohort A/B students will alternate attending in person. Teams will be sending all students their Wednesday schedules, as the day will change for everyone. Students coming to the Academy should arrive between 7:20 and 7:35, Wednesday dismissal is noon. Students in the opposite cohorts who are learning remotely on Wednesday, should log into homeroom at 7:35. For your planning purposes, we have included the cohort schedule below so you know which weeks your student will attend in-person learning.

During the month of March, schools celebrate “Read Across America”. March 2nd, Dr. Seuss’s birthday, is “Read Across America Day”. The theme for the month is ‘Cultivate Compassion’, books will be showcased and resources provided that promote inclusion and diversity. Thank you to our librarian, Mary Saunders, who is coordinating activities and reading material.
Tuesday, March 9, is the date for town elections. The dining hall at Winnacunnet High School is the polling site for Hampton. A copy of the school district’s Annual Report is available at town Hall, Lane Library, all three Hampton Schools or at the polling site.
Spring parent-teacher conferences, are scheduled for Wednesday, March 31. Conferences can be scheduled, from 12:30 to 6:30 PM. Student dismissal is at 12 PM. Teams will be sending information and sign-ups out next week.
The second trimester ends Friday, March 19. Report cards will be available on Monday, March 29. If you need assistance with PowerSchool, please contact Cheryl Solari at csolari@sau90.org.
The Hampton Teachers Charitable Fund “Think” is sponsoring a virtual 5K race for families. Profits from the virtual race will be donated to local families in the seacoast NH area to assist with child care during the pandemic and to help stock the local food pantries. Check out the race website for information regarding registration, sponsorship, and questions you may have about race day. Attention eighth grade families: The yearbook needs baby pictures, and pictures of remote students in their work areas. Please send pictures to Mr. Doherty, jdoherty@sau90.org.
The WHS class selection portal will close Friday, March 5th. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Bassett or Mrs. Bowen.
