March 2019

Dear Hampton Academy Families,

Please join us Tuesday evening, March 5, at 6:30 PM in the Marston School cafeteria for a community safety forum.  The forum will address safety measures in place at the schools and provide information on the collaboration with the Police and Fire Departments.  There will be an opportunity for questions and concerns from families and community members.  Joining the Hampton SAU 90 Administrators will be members of the Hampton Police Department, including Chief Sawyer, Deputy Chief Hobbs and School Resource Officers, Det. DeMarco and Det. Feely.  In addition, members from the Hampton Fire Department, Chief Ayotte and the Emergency Medical Services Officer, Nathan Denio will also be present to offer information and answer questions.

We would like to remind you that student/parent conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, from 11:45 to 5:45 PM.   Student dismissal is at 11:30 AM.  More information will be sent home soon.  The second trimester ends Friday, March 16.  Report cards will be available on Monday, March 25.  If you need assistance with PowerSchool, please call Pam Panarelli at 926-4560, ext. 315.

Tuesday, March 12, is the date for town elections.  The dining hall at Winnacunnet High School is the polling site for Hampton.   Our 8th graders will be attending “Step-Up Day” at WHS on Tuesday, March 12.  Students will get a tour of the building, meet staff, and receive information on course electives.  The course elective portal will open on the 12th and close on Friday, March 15.

Also this month, The Hampton Academy Band and Chorus will be participating in the All SAU’s Band and Choral Festival at Winnacunnet High School Auditorium on March 26.  Performances start at 5:30 PM.

Hampton Academy students in good academic standing and with a current physical on file are eligible to participate in Spring sports; baseball, softball and track. Sign-ups will be during lunch period on March 12, 13, & 14. If you have any questions, please call or email our athletic director, Jim Doherty.

A list of school events is listed below.  School, academic and educational resources can be found on our web site at Hampton Academy or call 926-2000 if you have any questions or concerns.

Hampton Academy's mission is to provide an environment where all students are encouraged to reach their academic, artistic, social and physical potential in order to become productive citizens in an ever-changing world.  This mission is best achieved when staff, families, and community share the responsibility of educating our adolescents during their middle school years.
